As part of the legal outreach programme advanced by the University of Embu Legal Aid Clinic students from the University of Embu School of Law joined members of the LSK Embu branch in the 2022 legal awareness week for a legal awareness exercise.
Participating in the legal awareness week enabled the potential lawyers to learn legal practice skills from practising advocates. The advocates were also at hand to answer practice related questions posed by the students.
In addition, the students were able to test their grasp of law while analysing legal problems presented by different members of the public.
The exercise was a success as the students were able to apply their legal knowledge while answering questions from members of the public. They also gained from interacting with advocates and watching how the seasoned advocates handled “clients”
