Inaugural Moot Court Competition

The School of Law students participated in the Inter-University Moot Court Competition on Sexual Minorities Rights Held on 31st March 2023 at the University of Embu. The theme of the Moot Court Competition was “The legal barriers affecting the rights of sexual minorities rights and accessing sexual and reproductive services.” The competition was funded by the Eagles for Life and Help Heal Organisations.

Our students performed exceptionally well in the competition winning all the top awards –Best Memorial, Best Female Oralist and Best Male Oralist— as well as various other accolades. This is a testament to the hard work that the students put into the preparation of their research papers (memorials)and practice for their oral presentations. Their responses to questions posed by the judges during the Moot Court Competition displayed their in-depth knowledge of the legal issues and topics arising from the moot court questions and the four key issues to be addressed.
